Flipside - neue Single aus kommendem Norah-Jones-Album
Den 7. Oktober 2016 haben sich Norah-Jones-Fans bereits fett im Terminkalender angestrichen, denn dann erscheint ihr neues Album “Day Breaks”, das stilistisch an ihr über alle Maßen erfolgreiches Debüt “Come Away With Me” anschließen soll.
Ein besonders rhythmischer Songs des Albums, “Flipside”, ist jetzt als Single veröffentlicht worden und auf allen digitalen Plattformen erhältlich. Zu Jones‘ eingängig groovender Piano-Melodie gesellen sich hier als echter Jazz-Leckerbissen Brian Blades Schlagzeug, Chris Thomas’ Bass und Dr. Lonnie Smiths flirrende Hammond-Orgel.
Norah Jones möchte speziell mit diesem Song eine Botschaft transportieren: “I was really affected by the news and everything that’s been going on in the world and in this country over the last couple years. It’s been really volatile and crazy. I was listening to the Les McCann song ‘Compared to What’ a lot and was very much influenced by how grooving and amazing it is but also how it’s very political and it’s just from the gut.”
