"The Thing To Do" ist historisch allein schon deshalb bedeutend, weil auf dem Album zwei junge Musiker zu h&ouml;ren sind, die ein paar Jahre sp&auml;ter mit der Jazz-Rock-Band von Miles Davis Weltruhm erlangten: der Pianist Chick Corea und der Schlagzeuger Al Foster. Das Repertoire des Albums, das bei AllMusic die H&ouml;chstwertung von f&uuml;nf Sternen erzielte, reicht von Hard Bop &uuml;ber Balladen bis hin zu einem von Calypso beeinflussten St&uuml;ck.
