Das im Mai 1961 eingespielte Album "The Cat Walk" geh&ouml;rt zu den besten Aufnahmen dieses Gespanns. Mit Unterst&uuml;tzung einer von dem Pianisten Duke Pearson angef&uuml;hrten Rhythmusgruppe laufen die beiden Bl&auml;ser hier zu Hochform auf. Bis auf eine Nummer besteht das Programm ausschlie&szlig;lich aus swingenden Hard-Bop-Originalen von Byrd und Pearson.

Die ersten Folgen erschienen bereits 2019 zum achtzigsten Labeljubil&auml;um unter dem Serientitel Blue Note 80. Gemastert werden die LPs von Kevin Gray bei Cohearent Audio in den USA, gepresst in 180g bei Optimal in Deutschland. Original-Coverdesign und cellophanierte Innenh&uuml;llen geh&ouml;ren bei dieser Serie zum guten Ton.
